Timberline Lodge sits at the base of Mt. Hood's Palmer Snowfield, the only ski area in the U.S. open ten months of the year. The lodge provides ski-to-door access, a dedicated Freestyle Training Center for all abilities, and an on-site ski school for beginners. Guests can rent ski equipment directly at the lodge and use the ski storage and ski pass vendor on site.

Dining Options

Timberline Lodge Oregon has three on-site restaurants: the Cascade Dining Room for fine dining, Ram's Head Bar for casual dining, and the seasonal Blue Ox Bar with pub-style cuisine. The Cascade Dining Room focuses on local ingredients and sustainability, while Ram's Head Bar offers a full bar and a menu of homemade soups and classic entrees. Guests can also relax on the patio during summer months.

Rooms & Lodge Amenities

The lodge offers rustically inspired rooms with original handcrafted furnishings, a TV, and private bathrooms with free toiletries. Select rooms feature wood-burning fireplaces, and the hotel is pet-friendly with dedicated pet-friendly rooms. Amenities include a heated outdoor pool, a hot tub, a sauna, and a fitness center-all accessible to overnight guests.

Location & Activities

Situated deep in Mt. Hood National Forest, Timberline Lodge provides access to the Pacific Crest Trail for hiking and outdoor adventures. A complimentary shuttle service runs during winter to and from Government Camp village, which is 11 km from Mt. Hood Skibowl. The Mt. Hood Express public transit bus stops at the lodge year-round (excluding certain holidays).

Family & Entertainment

Timberline Lodge Mt. Hood has a games room with shuffleboard and table tennis that guests can borrow from the front desk. The lodge also hosts resident St. Bernard dogs, Bruno and Heidi, who greet guests throughout the day. The 24-hour front desk offers concierge service, a USFS tour desk, and luggage storage.
